Default 2017 Forester tail light not working

I own a 2017 Forester. I noticed that the LEFT SIDE ONLY tail light was not working. I figured that the bulb burned out, looked in the owner's manual for the proper number and I'd be all set after changing it. Now, when I looked up the proper number online at my dealer's web site, I found that it called for a LED module not a bulb. After going to buy one at the dealer & having to tell the parts manager to check on his web site for the correct one, it had to be ordered.
Long story short, removed the tail light, replaced the LED module & plugged in the new one- still no light on the left side. Hooked up my Power Probe, no power going to the LED module. Hooked the Power Probe to the LED module and it lights up when power is applied. Tried to trace the wires without taking the interior apart, I can't see where the wires go. Looked under the car and found a module between the body & rear bumper but couldn't tell if the tail light wires go there.
Remember, right side tail light, license plate light & all the correct lights in the front of the car work.
Any help is appreciated!
