Default Alter's 2005 H6 Swap

Hey Everyone, Alter here from rs25. I wanted to keep my build threads in the proper places and saw we had a sister site.

I have already started on the swap I will do a quick picture break down of what i have done and where i'm currently at.

First I needed to get a donor car (only $400!!)

Not knowing what I needed I strip the ENTIRE harness out of the outback

Then the 2005 needed to be gutted to start the wiring merge

I began the conversion from drive by wire to drive by cable. This wasn't terribly tough but it can be a bit of a hassle if your can't get the bolts behind this little plate. Which then you gotta balance and hold in place .. it wasn't fun but completely doable. Don't forget you have to drill a hole to route the cable through the firewall.

At this point its wiring harness work which is a bit overwhelming but i have a few people giving me pointers on how to tackle this beast.

Notice the power steering was reused from the 2005. Just simply tap 2 new holes and mount using 10mm bolts.
